We are proud to be supporting this Global Client in finding a new Lead Project Engineer - Water
This role seeks a Lead Project Engineer who has worked in the waste water industry and will support the Water process, electrical control/mechanical designs, material and equipment selection and sizing across multiple projects throughout the UK and Europe.
As the Lead Project Engineer you will lead the asset design and water treatment projects with your main location being Peterborough. There will be some opportunity to work hybrid but depends upon workload, meetings and whether it is critical for you to be on site.
You will be responsible for:
Leading the design and execution of Bridge, Complex Mobile and BOO proects
Desiging, executing the water projects to time and budget constraints
Leading the water treatment asset designs and factory acceptance testing
Managing the certifications process and standards using CE, CSA, UL and UKCA
Leading newly designed equipment and plants as and when required
Managing document developments, reviews and approvals
Managing customer deliverables and technical communications
Utilising SAP – to create/update Material Master, Inventory, drawing and BOM
Sourcing suppliers and parts where necessary
Working closely the regional leads team to develop deals and successful executions
Lead, coach and train outsourced engineering
Working closely with external contractors to ensure they produce detailed designs and drawings
You will also lead HAZOPs and Product Safety Reviews.
To carry out this role you will need the skills and experience below:
- A basic knowledge of water process, electrical, control/mechanical designs, material and equipment selection and sizing
- Knowledge in PLC designs and Integrations (Preferable PLC- Allan Bradley and Siemens)
- Experience in engineering design and design leadership
- Experience in a product and services business - ideally within water treatment
- Strong water process and project management skills with ability to drive projects and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- B.Sc. in an Engineering/science / Master or related technical experience
